We've been having this discussion off and on. Does size matter? I mean, is bigger really better? Do bigger pedicabs get you bigger tips? In other words, does having more people in your cab get you more money? Is it really worth it to overload your cab?

I have never operated the smaller Classic. I have had the singular pleasure of driving a Broadway. More often than not, it doesn't pay to overload your cab.
Of course, there will be those that will differ.
No way does it pay to overload. Actually, you lose money. IF you break down, you can't make any money. And its unsafe. Our company fines pilots who are seen with an overloaded pedicab. 3 X's, no P'cab for you!!
Speaking of size, there was significant shrinkage last night at the NFC game @ Lambeau. 5 pedicabs ventured out in sub zero temps. The tips seemed to double, so I guess it was worth the suffering.
At the point where I have more three people wanting to get in my cab I start quoting fares at a pretty high rate.
I usually will not take an overloaded ride unless I would lose the fare all together. I don't like to be "greedy" with the rides. If a group of four wants to get on and there is another pedicabber near by, I will usually try to spread the love around and give some passengers to the other rider
I think a good rule of thumb in that situation is to "go halves" on the tip. Such that if if your get 20$ for carrying two people and your buddy gets 10$ for carrying 2 people, you give him $5 to even things out. Just add the total of both fares and devide by the number of people and divvy up the proceeds.
That or just charge 1 cent per pound per block.
Your cab needs to be big enough to carry 2 LARGE football fans!
